I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
